Watermelon Slim and his band mesmerized the crowd at Cecil's, North Bay's newest venue for big time blues shows. Toronto's Maureen Brown sat in on drums, replacing regular Michael Newberry, who had border crossing problems coming in from the You Ess, Eh? The band also feaures Ike Lamb on guitar and Cliff Belcher on bass. Slim and the boys play out of Oklahoma - and Slim commented that Northern Ontario is a little colder weather-wise in early April than it is where he hails from!
